BRENT “B.R.” HOFFMAN served a distinguished career in the military as a nuclear weapons officer. Then-Major Hoffman survived the 9/11 attack on the Pentagon and was offered command of the President’s Emergency Operations Center in the White House the following day. After the military, he founded several community organizations and served in elective office. Mr. Hoffman holds five degrees, including an M.B.A from the University of South Dakota, and also writes a newspaper column. His first book, "Life After," is the story of his late wife, Mary Jo. Brent lives in South Dakota with his children, Silas and Lydia.
